Hustle + Flow: Boxing, Breathwork and Community under the Full Moon Eclipse
In partnership with Rumble Boxing – Yaletown and the Indigenous Yoga Collective, I’m hosting a free community gathering that creates a safe, intentional container to channel our individual and collective sacred rage through movement. Not rage as destruction — but rage as alchemy. As boundary. As life force moving through the body instead of turning inward.
Eclipses are thresholds. The upcoming full moon eclipse on March 3rd offers us a moment to channel and release our energy - it is a time when emotions rise, truths surface, and energy asks for release. They shake loose what’s been stuck and invite us to choose how we meet intensity: with suppression, or with intention.
We’ll begin with a heavy bag boxing class designed for beginners and mixed levels, facilitated by one of Rumble’s Indigenous Motivators. The bag becomes a place to release pressure, grief, anger, fear, and fire—rhythmically, consciously, and with breath. This is about focus, precision, and reclaiming power in the body.
After we move the energy, we slow it down.
The second half of our time together will be a gentle yoga and breathwork session, where we stretch, settle, and integrate. This is nervous system care. This is where the body learns that release can be followed by softness, and intensity can be met with compassion. We don’t bypass the fire - we tend it.
We’ll close the afternoon in community connection, sharing refreshments, conversation, and grounding together. There will also be giveaways from Arc’teryx, because being held in community can include celebration, beauty, and care.
This gathering is about remembering that strength and tenderness are not opposites. That movement can be ceremony. That rage, when honored and guided, can become clarity and protection rather than harm.
If you’ve been feeling the weight of the world, the pressure of holding it together, or the pull to release something old—this space is for you.
